As a long time street dancer and gym aficionado, Catherine had heard much about Yoga but didn't delve into it until she became bored with her set regime and was suffering from dire lack of flexibility. Little did she know that her first Yoga class would lead to a life changing shift physically, emotionally and mentally.

After a decade of teaching dance, she embarked on the journey of teaching Yoga in 2009 through her first training in Hot and Hatha Yoga with Copper Crow. She has gone on to study Yin Yoga, Pre-Natal Yoga and Vinyasa Yoga with several respected teachers including Bernie Clark, Jason Crandell, Jo Phee, Michelle Papa, Sarah Powers and Victor Chng.

Her belief in lifelong learning and keen interest in anatomy, fascia, traditional Chinese medicine, qigong healing and yoga philosophy have motivated her to pursue such knowledge rigorously through self-study and workshops with many teachers including Carlos Pomeda, Charat Singh, Martin Kirk, Michael Watson, Thomas Myers,Tiffany Cruikshank and more. She has recently completed a 2-year program at the Singapore College of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Catherine believes the asana practice is a small but beautiful part of Yoga. Convinced of the benefits that Yoga has brought her, she would love to share this joy with more people and hopefully create a positive change for her students, no matter how small.

What People Say

"Thanks to Catherine, I now approach Yoga with a quiet mind and a focus on breath as I have learnt in her sessions, and the pose just lets me in. In the last 3 years that I have been with her I find her highly skilled, very perceptive and an empathetic instructor"

Catherine is an amazing yoga teacher who transformed me from “achy and creaky” to “fit and bendy” thanks to her knowledge, kindness, warmth and sense of humor. She went the extra mile to research my condition when I was ill and tailored our lessons to suit my needs which greatly helped my recovery.

"After being away from Catherine's class for a long time, I still feel the same security and peace when I come back, Like no matter where we are at, how we are feeling and facing, what thoughts we have, it's a safe space here with you."
