Abdominal Massage for Constipation

Ate a little too much the day before or feeling a little constipation? Here's a simple abdominal massage to help things along.



How to do it:

  1. This can also be lying down with knees bent and feet on the floor or standing.

  2. Massage your abdomen area in a circular manner from right to left. This follows the direction of the large intestines. It would be helpful to use a little massage oil if you are massaging directly on the skin to avoid abrasion.

  3. Massage for about 5 minutes. Your abdomen area may feel a little warm after.


Things to note:

  • This is best done on an empty stomach in the morning.

  • If your belly is quite full, you may feel slight discomfort while doing this. Should you feel pain, please do not continue further and seek a doctor's advice.

  • This is not suitable for pregnant ladies.
